So easy to make and so refreshing, Hibiscus Strawberry Iced Latte. My version of Starbuck's, Pink Drink.
I’m a huge strawberry fan, and right now they are in season around here! Yah! Of course you can make the drink from frozen strawberries too, but if you can throw in a few fresh, it adds an oomph of amazing to your drink.
Ingredients
- 4 Hibiscus Tea bags, (I used Red Zinger by Celestial Seasonings)
- 2 Green Tea Bags
- 2 cups boiled Water
- 3/4 - 1 cup Sugar
- 8 Strawberries
To Serve:
- Coconut Milk
- Sliced Strawberries
Instructions
- In a tempered glass jug or measuring cup (such as Pyrex), Add the Tea Bags plus the Sugar. Pour the just Boiled Water over the tea bags and stir to help dissolve the sugar. *Hint: when ever you add hot or boiled water to a glass pitcher, jug or measuring cup, it's a good idea to keep a stainless steel spoon in with the hot water. This is to prevent any possible issues with your glass pitcher from cracking due to the heat, as the metal will help absorb the heat.*
- Let the Tea bags brew for about 5 - 10 minutes for a good concentrate. Discard tea bags.
- In a blender or with a fork, puree the 8 Strawberries, then mix into the Tea concentrate.
- To serve, in a glass add some ice, then pour about an ounce of the Tea and Strawberry concentrate into the bottom, top off with Coconut Milk and a few slices of Strawberries.
- (I use about 1 part Tea Concentrate to 2 parts Coconut Milk. Adjust to taste.).
